If you installed the license manager as a service, the license manager gets started automatically at system boot time.
There are also several other ways to start and stop the license manager:
Use the Windows Services control panel. See Using the Windows Services Control Panel for more information.
Use the lmutil utility. See Using the FLEXnet Command Line Utilities (lmutil.exe) for more information.
Use the LMTOOLS Utility. Click the Start Server or Stop Server button on the Start/Stop/Reread tab. See Using the FLEXnet Utilities Graphical User Interface (LMTOOLS) for more information.
To start or stop the license manager using the Windows Services control panel:
Open the Services control panel. On Windows XP systems, click the Start button and select Settings. On the Settings menu, select Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services.
In the Services control panel, scroll through the list of services and right-click the MATLAB License Server entry. Select Start or Stop from the menu.
