License File Processing on Client Systems
In client installations in network configurations, you must specify the name of a License File in the License File dialog box during the installation procedure. For client installations, you must use the License File that was processed during the installation of the license manager on your license server. During the client installation process, the installer deletes all the INCREMENT
lines and the DAEMON
line in the License File and replaces them with a single line USE_SERVER
. The installer stores the client version of the License File (license.dat
) in the $MATLAB\bin\win32
folder.
If you specify the name of the License File you created from the license e-mail, instead of the License File after it was processed by the installer during the license manager installation, the installer proceeds with the installation, creating a template License File in $MATLAB\bin\win32
. You cannot run MATLAB on the client until you edit this License File, adding the SERVER
line from the processed License File.
