The filter is intended to remove subtitles and logo from films.
1. Logo position
– shows approximate position of the logo, sets the search area.
- Left-bottom corner X, Y – X and Y coordinates of left-bottom corner of the search area
- Size (Width, Height) – Size of the search area
2. Logo detection
– parameters for automatic logo detection in the search area.
- Dilation – parameter that controls morphological operation called “dilation”. It is used to eliminate some of
the drawbacks of automatic detection algorithm. Also it can be increased if logo has degraded borders.
Default value is 5.
- Threshold – Threshold for logo detection. If this value is decreased the filter can find “unnecessary”
pixels that logo doesn’t contain. It is recommended to decrease only if filter detect the logo incompletely.
It is recommended to increase this parameter if filter removes “useful” information except the logo.
- Draw Area – shows the search area. Default value is off.
- Whole frame – parameter for logo detection in the whole frame. It is useful to use that when a
film has two or more logotypes in different locations of the screen.
3. Motion
– parameter for logo removal
-Block size - The size of the block in pixels. For high-quality removal of small logo it is
recommended to decrease this value and if logo is large this value can be increased.
-Blur block size – This parameter defines blurring – the first stage of filter’s work. It is recommended
to change this value only if blurring has not necessary quality.
-Depth of motion estimation – If there are strong motion in the film it is recommended to increase this value.
And vice versa – weak motion – small value.
-Use blur with MC – It is useful parameter for noisy films and when logo removal works not as desired.
4. Preset
– user chooses the preset for working with logo or subtitles.
