&10=Start tutorial
&11=Welcome to Pinnacle Studio 12
&12=This brief tutorial will have you creating fun movies in no time!
&13=Continue clicking 'next' to step through the lesson
and 'previous' to repeat a lesson.
&14=Pick up expert tips by clicking 'tip' when it appears.
&15=First, let’s get familiar with the three sections of the Studio layout!
&16=The Studio principle of home editing consists of three simple steps:
&17=1 Capture
&18=Import your standard or high definition footage from camcorders or record your old VHS tapes using Pinnacle’s media devices.
&19=2 Edit
&20=Create fun movies with Studio’s easy-to-use tools: edit your video, photos and music,
and enhance your project with effects, motion titles and DVD menus.
&21=3 Make Movie
&22=Finally export it to any common File or Disc format in both SD and HD. Or easily share it on the web. You can even directly upload it to popular sites such as Yahoo! and YouTube.
&23=Album:&
&24=Contains Video, Transitions, Titles, Photos, Sound FX and Music.
&25=Any of these movie elements can be dragged
from here to the timeline to create a movie.
&26=Timeline:&
&27=It begins on the far left and runs to the right.
&28=Video Player:&
&29=Used for viewing your movie as you create it,
and also for previewing content from the Album.
&30=Tip
&31=To view your movie in full screen, double-click
the video player or click this button:
&32=Double-click again or hit
“Esc” to return to normal.
&33=Now let’s see how to make a movie!
&34=Start by bringing your own videos, photos,
and music into your Studio project.
&35=In the Album, tell Studio where your content is
by navigating to it using one of these buttons:
&36=This button allows you to move up one level within your
computer directory from your current view.
&37=This button will open up a file browser for you to navigate
to your existing media files.
&38=The Media importer button is used to copy your photos and videos
from an external device like a digital camera to
your computer so Studio can use it.
&39=When first importing a video, Studio will automatically detect scenes in the video.
&40=This divides a longer stream of video
into more logical pieces.
&41=Now choose the appropriate Album and
drag your content to the timeline.
&42=Rearrange elements by dragging and dropping.
&43=You can create amazing music videos or slide-shows
with our automatic movie-creator 'SmartMovie'.
&44=After you’ve added your video and photos,
pick the right song for your movie.
&45=Add it to timeline and return to the SmartMovie tool.
&46=Now choose a style which matches your idea best.
&47=Add a title and additional information and
click 'Create SmartMovie'.
&48=In such short time, you have already created
a funny little music video or slideshow!
&49=Edit the length of your clips by placing the play-head
over your clip and using the razorblade.
&50=You can also drag the ends of the clips to trim their lengths.
&51=For more precise edits, you can zoom in on the timeline.
&52=To zoom, move your cursor above the timeline,
but not on the play-head, until you see this symbol.
&53=Now drag left or right to control the zoom.
&54=Transitions can be used to create a stylized
change from one scene to the next.
&55=Drag transitions in between clips, or to the beginning and end of clips.
&56=Use transitions on photos, titles or
audio, too, not just video!
&57=Titles can also be dragged from the album
to the main video track or the title track.
&58=Double-click the title on the timeline to edit it.
&59=You can also double-click directly on the title track to create a new title from scratch.
&60=Within the title editor, you can use custom fonts,
styles and colours.
&61=Studio’s new Pinnacle Montage themes can also be dragged
from the album to the main video track or the title track.
&62=Fill it with videos and photos of your choice!
&63=You can easily add style to your projects with these Pinnacle Montage themes.
&64=Each of the Pinnacle Montage packages consists of an opening template, several motion transitions and a closing template.
&65=These templates will be the icing on top of the cake for your projects.
Try it out!
&66=Simply drag music and sound effects to the timeline,
where they can be arranged and edited just like other clips.
&67=In case you don’t have the right music, just try Studio’s
automatic music creation tool 'ScoreFitter'.
&68=Choose a style and a title and add it to the movie.
&69=You can add Hollywood-like effects to your
video and photos for exciting results.
&70=Also check out Studio’s effects that apply to audio files!
&71=Play your movie back to see how your arrangement looks.
&72=If you want to export your timeline to DVD,
you can add a DVD menu to your project.
&73=Drag an existing DVD menu from the Album to
the timeline and simply create a few chapters.
&74=Customizing a DVD menu is very similar
to editing a title – it’s easy to create your
own unique menus with Studio!
&75=You can preview the functionality of you DVD menu
by clicking this button in your video player:
&76=Once you’re done editing, click the “Make Movie” tab.
&77=Output your movie in a common video format…
&78=…for viewing and sharing on your computer or portable media device.
&79=You can upload directly to the web for anyone to view.
&80=You’re done!
&81=Have fun making your movie masterpiece!
