| In this chapter, you
learned that there are many ways to control routing update traffic,
including passive interface, default routes, static routes, and
route filtering. You also learned that redistribution (the
capability for boundary routers connecting different autonomous
systems to exchange and advertise routing information received from
one autonomous system to the other autonomous system) enables you to
exchange routing information between dissimilar routing protocols
and requires some care when configuring.
In the next chapter,
you learn how to connect an enterprise network to an Internet
service provider (ISP).
