Several commands are available to help you
verify the CGMP configuration on the switch. These commands allow
you to view the relationships between VLANs, CGMP-enabled routers,
and switch ports. Refer to the "Configuring Multicast
Services" section in the Catalyst 5000 Series Software
Configuration Guide (4.3) for a complete list of these commands.
The following two commands are useful in
helping you verify the CGMP configuration on the switch:
The
show cgmp statistics vlan
command displays the ongoing CGMP activity for a designated VLAN on
a set command-based switch. (see Figure
)
The
show multicast group cgmp vlan
command displays only the multicast router information that has been
learned automatically through CGMP. The results of this command show
the multicast group MAC addresses associated with a specific VLAN
and the ports associated with those groups.
To view CGMP information on a Cisco IOS
command-based switch, issue the command
show cgmp, as shown
in Figure
.
