| The show dialer
interface bri number
command displays information in the
same format as the legacy DDR statistics on incoming and outgoing
calls. In the Example, the message that says Dialer state is data
link layer up suggests that the dialer came up properly. If you
see a message saying physical layer up, the line protocol
came up, but the Network Control Protocol (NCP) did not. The source
and destination address of the packet that initiated the dialing is
shown in the Dial reason line.
