The Figure illustrates the following important
CQ features:
- FTP traffic (TCP port 20) is assigned to queue 1. The
queue-list 1 protocol ip 1 tcp 20 command designates
FTP data traffic by identifying TCP port 20.
- Non-FTP IP traffic is assigned to queue 2.
- IPX traffic is assigned to queue 3.
- AppleTalk traffic is assigned to queue 4.
- All other traffic is assigned to queue 5.
- FTP traffic receives more bandwidth.
The queue-list 1 queue 1 byte-count 4500 command allocates 4500 bytes to queue 1. This command increases the transfer capacity of queue 1 from the default of 1500 bytes to 4500 bytes. As a result, FTP traffic is allocated more bandwidth than any other type of traffic.
