Allows changing the names of file
and folders. |
| Put in Workspace |
Place the object on the workspace
area. This placement makes that object available whether or not
you have a File Manager window open. |
| Put in Trash |
Place the object in the Trash Can.
An alternative to this option is to drag and drop the object
over the Trash Can icon on the Front Panel display. Files.
Note: Files deleted in this way can be recovered using
the Trash Can Control icon on the Front Panel. Files deleted
from the command line with the rm command cannot be recovered. |
| Properties |
Change the permissions of a folder
or file. Permissions are covered later in the course. |
| Select/Deselect All |
Select or deselect all objects in
the current folder. Once selected, they can be moved, copied, or
deleted as a complete group of objects. |
| Open |
Open a folder or file. This menu
option is the same as double-clicking on the object icon. |
| Print |
Print the file. This is the same
as using drag and drop with the Print Manager icon on the Front
Panel. |
