The user interface has
a UNIX-like directory structure, as shown in the Figure. Commands
are set by entering
set
commands on the command-line
interface. Also, to navigate from one profile to another, the
cd
(change directory) command is used.
The set commands are
automatically saved in NVRAM, and reset commands remove
commands from NVRAM. To initialize the system, enter set default.
The
set default command is the same as the
erase start
command followed by the reload command in the Cisco IOS
software.
The show command displays
information and parameters.
You can save set commands in a
text file off line, and copy and paste them at the command-line
prompt to configure the router.
