Creating Click-Able Areas
This step is the most important in creating an image map - defining the areas that, when clicked, will take you to a specific web page. There are some tools for creating click-able areas, the Rectangle tool and the Circle Tool. In next version we will add the Polygon Tool (this update for registred users will be free-of-charge).
All tools you may be found on the main toolbar or Edit menu:
The first thing to do is to choose a shape. The rectangle and circle tool work basically the same. Click and drag the mouse till the shape is the proper size. Release the mouse will complete the shape. A "Area atteributes" dialog window will be displayed. Now you can specify the link, as well as the mouse-over, mouse-out and alternate text for your shape:
